General HVAC Questions
Heating and Air Conditioning equipment, no matter what kind you have, should be inspected, cleaned, and serviced at least once a year. The best scenario is to have the heating system checked in the Fall and the air conditioning checked in the Spring.
For optimum efficiency and filtration, we recommend that you replace your disposable filters at least once a month. If you have washable filters, they should be cleaned once a month.
Due to the many different makes, models and customer needs, the price of a new unit can only be determined by doing a thorough evaluation of your home and existing equipment. There is no charge for an in-house replacement estimate.
There are many things that could go wrong with your heating and cooling system. Give your thermostat settings a quick check and also check that any batteries are in working order. You can also check your circuit breakers as this is a common problem that our customers often overlook.
HVAC refers to the different systems used for moving air between indoor and outdoor areas, along with heating and cooling both residential and commercial buildings. They are the systems that keep you warm and cozy in the winter and feeling cool and fresh in the summer. They also are the systems that filter and clean indoor air to keep you healthy and maintain humidity levels at optimal comfort levels.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) uses the Energy Star rating system to determine which items of HVAC equipment meets or exceeds guidelines for high efficiency performance above the standard government minimums. In short, Energy Star appliances can help you to reduce your carbon footprint and your utility bills. We offer a large number of high efficiency products.
At Greenwood Air we back all our work with our 100% satisfaction guarantee.
If you still have a more traditional thermostat, upgrading to a smart thermostat is a way to save energy and give you greater control over your indoor comfort.
